Technique and method
Our 90-minute Thai Massage is practiced in accordance with the Ministry of Health of Thailand guidelines. Skilled therapists use a combination of thumbs, hands, and feet to apply sustained pressure along the body's meridian lines. The method is deliberate: pressure and positioning are chosen to support a sense of balanced energy and overall well-being rather than quick surface relief.
During the session therapists move through sequences designed to address larger body regions and energetic pathways. Expect applied, targeted pressure rather than continuous stroking; therapists may alternate tools and body positions to reach deeper lines. This 90-minute format provides time to work methodically across areas you identify during intake without rushing the sequence.
What shapes the result
Outcome depends on therapist skill, client feedback, and session focus. Our rotation assigns therapists to maintain consistent availability; if you prefer a specific practitioner, note their name in your booking notes and we will honor that request when possible. Clear communication about areas of tension or sensitivity guides how pressure is distributed over the full 90 minutes.
Local lifestyle also influences scheduling and expectations. Northridge clients — commuters, students from CSUN, and nearby families — often book around work or campus hours. The service’s length and timing make it suitable for pre- or post-work appointments, and our location near Northridge commercial corridors helps integrate this longer session into a busy day.
Preparing and safety considerations
Before you begin the therapist will take a short intake to note comfort levels and any concerns. Therapists follow Ministry of Health of Thailand guidance to apply pressure safely; they will adjust technique if something feels uncomfortable. This intake is your chance to report recent injuries, surgeries, or other factors that should shape the therapist's approach.
The session runs 90 minutes and is priced at $100. Plan to arrive a few minutes early for intake and to discuss focus areas. If you have a specific therapist preference, add their name in the notes when booking; otherwise we assign a therapist based on our rotation to maintain consistent scheduling.
