What happens during the session
During your 45-minute session at our Northridge location you move between three modalities: a warm sauna, a cold plunge and a red light therapy period. Each phase is brief and guided so transitions are intentional; staff will orient you to the sequence, explain how long the overall session lasts, and help you choose the pacing that matches your comfort.
Decisions during the ritual include how long to remain in the sauna versus the plunge and whether to conclude with red light therapy or use it mid-sequence. We accommodate different tolerances and time constraints—important for Northridge commuters and CSUN students needing efficient appointments—so communicate any scheduling limits or comfort concerns when you arrive.
How each element works
Each element plays a different role: the sauna delivers sustained dry heat and warm air exposure, the cold plunge gives a rapid temperature contrast, and red light therapy provides low-level light while you rest. The method emphasizes controlled contrast and a calm finish, with practitioners guiding rhythm and transitions rather than applying fixed medical protocols.
Choosing intensity involves trade-offs: longer sauna time increases perceived warmth but reduces time for the plunge or red light, while a shorter sauna allows more rest under the red light. Tell staff about cardiovascular, respiratory, or other health concerns so they can recommend an adjusted sequence or advise consulting your physician before booking.
Preparing for your appointment
Bring or wear swimwear and a light cover for between transitions; plan to arrive a few minutes early to settle in. The session is 45 minutes long and costs $160, so allow time to change and compose yourself before returning to classes, work commutes, or nearby shopping at the Northridge Fashion Center.
Our location on the Devonshire/Reseda corridor makes short, efficient appointments practical for drivers and students. Transit access along the 118 and the CSUN bus hub influences when to schedule; pick a time that fits class schedules, shopping plans, or pre/post-commute windows to avoid rushing.
